I know it's haswell, but there really isn't a massive performance difference. Also you have chosen a non-OC motherboard with an overclockable CPU.

It's pretty good overall, but there's no need for a 6600K if you're not getting a Z170 motherboard and planning on overclocking.

Why? AMD offers better performance at a slightly lower price, especially at higher resolutions. I recommend what @Amazingasian suggested if you want skylake.

Well . . . What do I say . . .

Many people on this forum have good experiences with AMD, myself included. Sure, they don't make the best CPU's but their graphics cards are reliable and competitive with Nvidia.

At 1080p they trade blows. At higher resolutions the 390 starts to move ahead. Also keep in mind that the 390 has twice the amount of VRAM, which may be important for future games, if you want "futureproof-ness". But yes, I would recommend the 390>970.

Yeah that looks great. If you can I recommend MSI/Sapphire cards but Powercolor looks alright as a company.
