I know it's haswell, but there really isn't a massive performance difference. Also you have chosen a non-OC motherboard with an overclockable CPU.

Well . . . What do I say . . .

Many people on this forum have good experiences with AMD, myself included. Sure, they don't make the best CPU's but their graphics cards are reliable and competitive with Nvidia.

@Killervolt would you say that the r9 390 is better than the gtx 970

At 1080p they trade blows. At higher resolutions the 390 starts to move ahead. Also keep in mind that the 390 has twice the amount of VRAM, which may be important for future games, if you want "futureproof-ness". But yes, I would recommend the 390>970.
