Hey guys, I have finished building my first pc recently any I have just started having some issues that are concerning. My computer will randomly crash and boot up again. It seems my headphones loose power first with short bursts of power going through it then my monitor looses power and soon after the whole pc. after a little bit my pc starts up again like normal. The process is very similar to when my computer restarts. My headphones are plugged into my usb ports, I have also had issues with my wireless mouse loosing connection randomly sometimes. I don't use the usb slots in the front of my case so its all hooked up to the pre-installed mobo ports. I have also earlier received a warning on this forum about the psu being horrible quality. I have the EVGA 500W Power supply. If you could help me figure out what component it is that would be amazing, I have a two year warranty on almost all of my computer parts.

Heyo, it's boyo here.

We have been painting the basement so at some point the computer was covered with a blanket, I took it off before I ran it. Also they took the covers off the outlets, I still doubt this would make a difference but I think its worth knowing. When it does this some things still have power like the fans and the windows recovery does not come up.

I don't think all power is lost, I think it might be the motherboard. The fans are hooked up to a fan controller and the fans seem to stay on and my computer boots up again. I will also attempt to scan my pc for viruses without it crashing. The only thing I am unsure of that I downloaded recently is MEGA, but some of the issues started before that download.

Is it possible its the motherboard?

I don't think so because it started. But get a better GPU for a 800$ that is horrible. It could also be the drive. is it making a odd noise.

If I'm not wrong, your APU has better GPU than your GPU is.

And I would start by looking at the temps. You have put thermal paste, right?

I have applied thermal paste and the internal temp of the computer itself is 30 degrees Celsius when its under load. I can try to monitor it while its active to let you know what the cpu is at.

I know that my GPU SUCKS, it was more of a temporary one until I upgrade it to a gtx 750 soon.

I did notice a odd noise, it was sorta like a fax tone or a whistle with two or three different high pitched tones but it didn't crash that time and haven't noticed it since. I again am planning on getting a better gpu (gtx 750) very soon that was because I completely forgot about the gpu and I was at my budget ceiling.

Yesterday it didn't crash at all I unplugged the power supply and plugged it in so that may have fixed it, there is a chance while they were painting the basement and moving things around they pulled it out just a tiny bit and it became slightly faulty, although I don't know how I would be able to run it for 30 minute to hour intervals if it was like that. Ill let you know how it goes today.
