PC: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/DmDKrH

My cpu is getting around the 80 ° c (speccy) when playing hames or watch twitch streams while my gpu is not heating up. I think it is holding down the rest of my PC. i recently replaced the stock thermal paste from my after market cooler, but that did not change much. My cooler is not getting hot (i touched and it felt around like 40°c). The rest of my components are not getting above 50° c.

I am worried about the lifespan of my cpu and that i am not getting the full potential out of my hardware.

I'm gonna go ahead and say this is a faulty temp reading, considering theres no way that CPU cannot physically put out more heat than the 212 can dissipate unless its wrongly mounted.

Combine that with the fact that AMD doesn't use actual sensors but a calculation to determine temp.

Also that would be 20 degrees above max temp at which point the PC would have shutdown from temp protection.

You're not using the correct software to read CPU temps.

My guess would be faulty sensors.

Could always try reseating it or upgrading to an all-in-one liquid cooler.

Nope.

Oh it's an AMD, that's the issue.  Problem solved, thread closed.

Shame that you being a tool isn't an issue a download can fix.  ;)
