Fan life-span?

I would have probably upgraded my system within the next two years so I would then be able to start saving for newer fans so it shouldn't be an issue. I don't see the ticking noise being a problem either really, I'm usually watching or listening to something so I can't hear my PC anyway

If you don't mind the potential ticking noise, then yes. On another note, the Corsair fans have a 2 year warranty, rather than the 6 year warranty offered by Noctua. Would that be a problem?
