So a couple weeks back, my 2 year old power supply died on me, so I went on Amazon and bought this Corsair CX430M power supply: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ALYORA4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

The reason I opted for this Corsair power supply was, I figured that a modular power supply would help in cable management and better airflow inside my case.  However, compared to my old Antec VP-450 I'm noticing higher temps in my PC.  With my old (non-modular) power supply my PC would rarely get to 75C+, as I am writing this post my PC is at 71C.  I also read around here that Corsair power supplys aren't the best options out there.

So, is this temperature increase because of my new power supply?

Specs:

CPU: AMD FX-6300

Motherbaord: ASUS M5A78LM LX Plus

HDD: 500 GB

RAM: Crucial 8GB DDR3

Old PSU: Antec VP-450

New PSU: Corsair CX 430M

Case: Rosewill MicroATX Mini Tower FBM-01 (Do not even consider this case, not even if you are on a budget)

Corsair CX series doesn't have a high operating temperature, its max is 30c I think. You should've opted for a different power supply.

Ehh luckily I'm still within the 30-day return period.  Would this be a good substitute?

This would be a better substitute if you can stretch the price to that far.

I don't need that much wattage, I'm just looking for a quality 400-450 watt power supply.  If I can't find anything I might just buy another Antec VP-450
