Like I said, the thread I linked links to quite a bit of general info about the game on the official website, the FAQ and the community forum.

Basically it boils down to that it's a crowd fund campaign to make the BDSSE (Best Damn Space Simulator Ever)

It's a game where you fly around in a spaceship; eventually there will be a whole universe you can take part in and have a role such as miner, pirate, shipping, etc.

I know LTT Conglomerate, Tactical Advance, GreyheadedGamer, Teller, Star Citizen, BoredGamer(?) and others.

Many of em make showcases of ships and features etc.

Seems pretty sketchy to get into it right now. Wait till it's out.
