Ubuntu Question

Hey guys,

 

Currently having some issues regarding screen resolution with Ubuntu. I have it installed on a VM and it is running fine but what is really pissing me off is the 640x480 resolution. I've followed some guides online and they haven't helped at all.

 

I've installed something called Guest Additions or something like that and still won't let me change it.

 

Any ideas?
