CPU choice

So for my first system I want a z97 whitch has a 1150 socket in but I am a bit low on budget so should I buy a £30 celeron and then upgrade to the i5-4690k later or save up for the i5-4690k.

Save up. Going to be impossible to sell that Celeron second hand. Although, I guess it would depend on how long you need to save for, Haswell is out the door. Should probably be considering a Skylake build if it's going to take you longer than a month or two.

i5-4460 + B85 motherboard is cheaper yet just as good if you don't want to overclock. What are the rest of your specs?
