The ASUS one looks sick and has decent cooling. I personally would go for it.

Sapphire and MSI are by far the best brands for AMD GPUs IMO. I have the MSI and love it, so I think you should consider that. But out of those, the Sapphire.

I am a HUGE fan of the aesthetics tbh. but real life users experienced difficulties over time regarding temps... so that made me reconsider it again

If you are going for more cooling performance the sapphire card is good direction to go in, but on the other hand if you can compromise a bit of cooling performance for amazing aesthetics the asus card is the way to go.

yup I know... but how much hit it'll face considering higher temps? did you use one??

MSI isn't a option for me...

Just out of curiosity (not trying to be hostile or anything) but why?

Anyway, if it's not an option than I reckon Sapphire is the way to go here.

A mate of mine has the ASUS 390. His temps were 24C at idle and 54C at load ( no overclock applied)

it's okay! and when I said it's not an option... I meant my local market only offers asus, gigabyte and sapphire for 390's. they only have nvidia regarding msi. personally, I don't hate msi if you are concerned about it!!  :P

that low?? seriously???  :o

He was running CSGO so mostly likely not the most intensive situation. But I'd say that the temps under maximum wouldn't be going any higher than late 60's

during Witcher 3, in my country; Sapphire exceeded 75 degrees!! Asus might (and as far as I know, will) go even higher. won't it be a big hit? my case is an H440, so airflow isn't as optimized too...

Thanks, I just didn't want you to feel like I was trying to pressure you into a purchase and that I respect your opinion :)

I second that.

The ASUS one is really not that pretty imo.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Sapphire Nitro is basically the best 390 cooler, only Msi with Twin Frozr V can compete againts it. The Asus Strix sure looks good, but it's way more louder and hotter, Strix coolers are not good coolers for amd cards.

I have also heard that... thus the reconsideration.
