Hey guys!

I realized that I never really talk or ever talked about myself or introduced myself and so I want to do just that. And also is this normal for people to feel like this or is it just me?

 

I was very shy until somewhat recently. I was never the "Cool kid". Was called a nerd a lot, just cos I liked computers and technology. I never really had much in common with other people which is probably why I never had many friends. I was bullied for a number of reasons when I was in primary and secondary school including: having Excema (Skin problem/condition), also because I was easy pray for others and because people around me where not very nice to me a lot. I used to be a really nice person but after taking in abuse from many years, i got tired of it and became less nice. I became pissed off easily, I really didn't socialize much after that (not that I did much in the first place). I let my life fall to pieces and become dreadfully lonely. Then when I was Year 10-11 (Grade 9-10), I met some friends and got along for a while but last year (2014) we started falling out and stopped talking to each other for many reasons. Now I socialize more and I talk to people more, I'm not a super confident at speaking (far from it) but I'm getting better. Sometimes I stutter or don't sound confident when I'm speaking. I've made a lot more friends since joining a new school and honestly I don't know where I would be without any friends. I've always been lonely to a certain extent so it never bothered me as much as it would bother others, but I recently started feeling seriously lonely and I have at least 5x more friends Online than IRL. I'm also American so I was always made fun of to a certain extent until recently (Most people don't like Americans). And I am a bit overweight. I will never be as kind or as friendly as I used to be around 6-7 years ago. I used to be happy all time (I'm not gay nor was I ever) (probably cos I enjoyed life a lot at the time) and i started looking like I was neutral/sad usually. Very little makes me happy anymore. I really can't stress enough how awesome you guys are    ! And how awesome everyone around me has been! I always had a problem and didn't get along with people since I was more mature than others and still am. I still am uncomfortable telling people my age online cos then otherwise people won't take me seriously. And also telling people online my real name is a big NO NO (If i tell you my real name then you're either super awesome or super special!)

 

Final notes: I'm an American teenager with a passion for Technology, a love for programming and gaming. And I'm still very shy   .

Awesome story OP! Don't let people put you down for your interests because there are tons and tons of people out there with similar interests as you. If you keep on doing what you're doing you can succeed in life and make good use of your talents.

Oh that! Gonna re-install/reset it probably. But then have to go to school technicians and ask for them to make it work on their WiFi
