Okay so i'm trying to decide of either getting a GTX 970 or a R9 390. They say that the R9 390 is more future proof yet something with the drivers is wrong. Then the it consumes more watts and it get hotter and bla bla bla etc etc. SO i want your guys opinion on which one is better. The pros and cons of each graphics card. That would help a lot.

The games i will be playing are Star wars battlefront. Gmod. Minecraft, BO3, and other games that come out. I will be recording when playing games for my YouTube channel and i don't mind putting my graphics settings in between Ultra, High, or Medium. I will be from time to time live streaming, gaming, and recording at the same time. Last I will also be getting a second graphics card later on, on which ever graphics card i choose for when i use 2 or 3 monitors unless i don't need that much power or just for better FPS on games.

So what do you guys have of information for me?

970, only because geforce experience makes game capture and game streaming much easier.

I am conducting some polls regarding your opinion of large technology companies. I would appreciate your response.

Microsoft Apple Valve Google Facebook Oculus HTC AMD Intel Nvidia

I'm using this data to judge this site's biases so people can post in a more objective way.

Over some people comment about the GTX 970 and the R9 390 on some benchmarks

Any idea where they get their info ? I'm planning to buy a Sapphire r9 390, and I need some sources. For research purposes of course.

Sapphire R9 390 Nitro is the best you will find. There's nothing wrong with the card, only reason someone might chose the GTX 970 here is because (i) they are an Nvidia Fan-boy (ii) They want to stream/record games (ShadowPlay, etc. from Geforce experience)

Depends on the rest of your rig really, but Nvidia cards are obviously supported by Gefore Experience which have tools such as ShadowPlay, built for recording games. I personally would always choose the 390, because Sapphire.

Sapphire make, arguably, the best AMD graphics cards because of their relationship with AMD they have the most options on what to change/improve from the base card. And all cards are factory overclocked!
