Gaming Desktop + Monitor; Budget: ~1300€

Movinghead333

Hey Guys,

a friend of mine decided to get a new rig + monitor, because his old pc(a 300€ prebuildt one, which his father bought years ago) doesn't really do trick anymore and while one his monitors is still fine he wants to replace the other older one with a height-adjustable 144hz panel. The size of the monitor should be somewhere between 24 and 27 inches and in terms of resolution i think 1080p is the way to go since a single 970 or whatever graphics card this budget allows won't allow 144fps at 1440p, which is recommended for running a 144hz panel as far as I know. The main usage of the system will be gaming, although he is doing a little bit of video editing from time to time, the focus is gaming at presumably 1080p(Games like CS:GO, Arma 3, AC Unity). Apart from the monitor, no other peripherals are needed.

Because he had never built a pc before he reached out to me, to help him do so. But as my last build was over a year ago, I thought my best bet is to ask you guys from the LTT-forum for recommendations or even complete builds. You can find my location and preferred shops below. I hope I listed everything mentioned in http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/  , if not just tell me what is missing and I will make sure to add it. :)
