I would scrap the Spectre pro and get a decent cpu cooler for your 4770k so you can overclock...

Case = Bitfenix Prodigy, Motherboard = P8Z77 - I Deluxe, CPU = 3570k @ 4.2GHz, RAM = 2x 8GB G-Skill Ripjaws, GPU = Sapphire 7950 Boost Edition, Storage = 256GB Samsung 840 Pro.

I recommend going for 2x120mm fans because they are usually a lot quieter than anything over a 140 (the air wooshing is loud)

he wanted it for LANs so it is easier to transport than an atx build.

Intel i7-3770k @ 4.5 GHz                               DCUII GTX 680                            16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM

Sabertooth Z77 ATX                                      WD Caviar Blue 500GB+ 1TB      Corsair Obsidian 750D

Corsair TX850M Watt PSU                            Bad Custom Water Cooling          Samsung 840 Pro SSD

i always think that the CPU cooling is a good add on for later. Save up for a good one and keep it forever.

i forgot to put in the h100i

Ah that will be fine then, the prodigy comes with 2 fans already and since your gpu is a blower design you'll really only need one intake and one exhaust fan.

Case = Bitfenix Prodigy, Motherboard = P8Z77 - I Deluxe, CPU = 3570k @ 4.2GHz, RAM = 2x 8GB G-Skill Ripjaws, GPU = Sapphire 7950 Boost Edition, Storage = 256GB Samsung 840 Pro.

I meant for the front, it only comes with one so getting another one for: 2x120 intake, 1x120 exhaust

Wait for the 9xxx series

@CoolBeans

but seriously :p if this is really for editing as well as LAN you should consider getting the 7990 as the compute performance is unrivalled which will help for rendering :D and it's just generally super powerful.

Console optimisations and how they will effect you | The difference between AMD cores and Intel cores | Memory Bus size and how it effects your VRAM usage |
How much vram do you actually need? | APUs and the future of processing | Projects: SO - here

Intel i7 5820l @ with Corsair H110 | 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 1600Mhz | XFX Radeon R9 290 @ 1.2Ghz | Corsair 600Q | Corsair TX650 | Probably too much corsair but meh should have had a Corsair SSD and RAM | 1.3TB HDD Space | Sennheiser HD598 | Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro | Blue Snowball

@Kuzma sorry im a nvidea fanboy   :D

xD okay well in that case ^_^ get a Titan the compute power is worth it imo, since it beats everything else Nvidia has (including the 780) by a long shot and actually outperforms the 7850 in OpenCL :P

Is the Titan really necessary?

How heavy is the editing and gaming going to be?

Yeah I don't think a Titan is necessary unless you're doing serious editing work. 7990 will be better, use the extra cash on a bigger ssd or cooling whatever.

Probably not even that. Considering it's a LAN pc, I doubt he'd be lugging a 1440p display around.

My thoughts exactly, a 7950 or even a 7870 if you wanna get budget wipeouts be fine for this build. Will a 780 even fit in the prodigy?

It would fit. The 780 isn't that long.

Wow the prodigy is a really versatile case isn't it?

If you don't mind could you link me to some good documents about NVIDIAs gpus and Intels current line up?

I'm not sure what you mean. If you want a list of gpus, wikipedia and pcpartpicker is a good site to look through.
