Photoshop is lagging

Many fonts, scratch disk on same hard drive/ssd as photoshop, scratch disk/memory set too slow. Try also to load default settings.

I'm in photoshop right now trying to make a quick profile picture and it is running extremely slow.

 

my system is in my sig 

 

it is using ~4.5GB of memory and 25% cpu 

 

I also noticed my ssd is being taxed pretty hard at 80-100%

I tried loading 100,000 fonts once.

 

Bad idea.
