SMS Group Chats

Go to solution Solved by Octavialicious,

I am in all iOS group chats on my android phone, works great

If your default messaging app is bad, try textra as your sms app (very good for group chats)

I have been using a "brick" phone (http://www.phonearena.com/phones/Samsung-SGH-T105G_id4085) for some time and I am finally planning on upgrading to the 2015 moto e. I am making this switch because I have come to a point where most of the features on a smartphone would be useful to me. However, I am part of a trumpet section in my high school that has a group chat where they discuss sectionals, etc. All of the people in my section have iPhones and that is what they use in the SMS group chat.

What I am wondering is if I would be able to join this group chat on an Android device. Weather it work seamlessly through the default messaging app or google hangouts or require a separate app, is it possible?

Thanks in advance!

Noooo!!  The glorious brick phone master race loses another member to the dark side :P

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Don't worry I will be passing down the glorious master race phone to my sister. She will carry on the legacy. Now if you don't mind, gotta start saving money so I can eventually join #teamcrispy

Google Hangouts

I was planning on using hangouts, but I thought I would give the Motorola app a shot first before I cast it into a pit of darkness.

Cool. Thanks.

I'll try it out, see if it works better for me than something like hangouts.

Actually just looked at the textra app..... really liking the customization. This looks really promising. :)
