Ok so I been planning this build out for a while now. A few months. With tech always changing of course the build is as well. I plan on giving this to myself as a late Christmas present when my lovely taxes come in. Help me shave a few bucks where it will not in anyway at all cut my performance. Any help is appreciate and all opinions are welcome! When I purchase the build, it MAY not have the 2nd GPU in it just yet, but it will be coming for sure! I also plan on OverClocking the CPU as far as it will go and I don't think I'll be OverClocking the GPU's considering the nice OC that is already on them.

Again all opinions are appreciated and loved in this thread, no hate comments for just the hate. Back up your hate with knowledge. I don't want to be disappointed when I build this in any way, shape, or form. I wish to be giggling like a little school girl the moment I hop into a game at 4k =) Help my dream happen! Build Vlogs/Logs will be happening and most defiantly benchmarking!

Here is a list of games that will be played on this computer;

SMITE

League of Legends

Diablo 3

World of Warcraft

Dungeons and Dragons Online

Vindictus

StarCraft 2

Star Citizen

Personally I think backlight keyboards, especially RGB ones are a gimmick, so if you want to cut money get a different keyboard.

I want to try to sync my keyboard RGB with the NZXT Hue+ on the case, would that be possible?

edit

le derped sink, instead of sync

I personally would eat through that 512gb ssd in about 6 hours.

Unless you have like, a home server for storing files, or a spare HDD or two you can throw in for bulk storage then i would seriously drop a 2tb hitachi or WD black in there.

And cut that damn headset, not great audio reproduction, and get a nice pair of headphones and a desk mic w/ an arm to stop shock from the desk.

You wanna cut costs without slashing performance?

Get rid of the gaming headset in return for a decent pair of headphones and a cheapo zalman mic.

/opinion.

The last thing I want is a great performing PC with shit sound, although I admit this headset probably isn't the best choice. I'm very well open to headset options and opinions.

Quite a build you got there mate! I wish I could afford such a machine.

Two opinions:

- Add a hard drive for extra storage, it doesn't cost that much and all the files you don't need fast acces to (like pictures, videos, documents) can be saved on the hard drive and that precious SSD space will be free for the games and programs. If you have a home server or a NAS this is less of a problem

- Go for a normal pair of headphones, they will sound MUCH MUCH better than a gaming headset and buy a modmic with it and you have made yourself a really killer gaming headset that actually sounds really good, also for music.

Great build and I feel jealousy ;)

I literally store nothing but video games. And some 4chan browsing/posting.

I would love to get some headphone recommendations though and maybe a mic setup that would work well would be nice. I don't care too much for the mic. I honestly just want great sound with my great frames :)

Hell, even a pair of M30Xs will outsound the Corsair headset, because they're (allegedly) studio monitors. They do tend to be a bit analytical, but that means you can EQ them really well. But don't listen to AT fanboys, because most of them are parrot shills. Sennheisers, AKGs, Ostreys, Beyerdynamics will be great options as well.

Any headphone recommendations? I'm well open to this side of the spectrum.

As for hard drive space. I store literally nothing but games on my computer. Lol. I'm not much of a picture video saver other than my night time 4chan browsing.

I had thought about Sennheisers.

I am not really deep in the headphone world, so to speak. But I have heard that Audio-Technica ATH-M50(x) sound really good. I heard the same about the DT series by Beyerdynamic, also Sennheiser has a great reputation.

For questions about the specific models you have to ask someone else I'm afraid. Watching and reading reviews is a good way to choose

as far as a mic goes, there's some decent ones for sale right now

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0042A68R8?tag=teksynd-20

as far as a mic solution goes, i currently use an AT2020, which is amazing... can't say enough about it. the arm im using as well is out of production, but the one i've linked below is still of pretty solid quality. But that shit is expensive, if you don't want to break the bank and just want something you can clip onto the side of your headphones to turn a nice pair into a gaming headset, then get a modmic, really superb headset microphone. it attaches to your headset with a magnet too, soooo... very very easy to install and move around.

How does the Sennheiser PC 363D size up to both that HD 558 and that modmic?

The sennheiser Pc 363D is basically just a 558 with a built in mic, that is basically the same as the modmic 4.0 single direction.

So basically, its the same thing exactly, but with the modmic "styled"  and a shitty amp for 200$ more.

The most I'd do with a mic is Skype, I don't generally use a mic however. So mic isn't that important to me, but one that is attached would be fairly preferred, ease of use, and less desk clutter. Or perhaps my lack in microphone and headphone knowledge is so low it's more of a ignorance. Lol I hope you understand where I'm coming from.
