Chipset!

Hi , i just reinstalled windows 7 64 bit home premium, im running asus z97 hero do i need to install chipset driver ?i heard last time is a must, now it is not so important ? if i do should i download from asus chipset driver or Intel chipset drivers ? i heard intel chipset drivers are more up to date recently ? and heres the asus chipset driver , which of these must i install ?

yes, use the latest 10.1.1.7

then d/l and install the latest intel engine (MEI) management driver.

i thought driver and software are different ?

is that similiar to the driver update ?

nope, not the chipset, the MEI can be updated, but not wise.

so i should install the software first.

then download MEI using the software or download manually ?

you should install the 10.1.1.7 chipset first, then install the MEI next.
