Mobile Battery/PSU

Go to solution Solved by W-L,

Hey guys. All that I am going to say now is that I have something.... big planned for the future. I need a large capacity battery with a DC output that is slim. Higher voltage is what I am aiming for. I have spent a decent amount of time searching with no luck.

Something like this from Anker, they have a DC jack output that has a set range of voltages:

Something unregulated like a hobby/RC battery or something like a phone power bank(regulated)?

OFF TOPIC: I suggest every poll from now on to have "**CK EA" option instead of "Other"

I'm just gonna say this - let's make an Alienware Alpha into a laptop.

First link for DC-DC regulators in the form of a 24pin PSU(Spoiler: the M4 has voltage control, so you can shut down when the battery gets low) and the second link is for RC batteries(3S is common, but you will want something equivalent to a 4S, high capacities OFC).

You might need to check the wattage with the unit you have since most battery packs can only supply a certain amount of power, using a li-po pack and dc to dc regulator like Queen Demetria mentioned there is a good alternative is it's a power hog.

Check out the OpenUPS on the Minibox site. Its a UPS(just mini lel), but It will allow you to have input power, output power, battery "source" power, and ability to charge the battery(which it does balancing, nice for LiPo's). Only bad thing about it is that its low power, so it only has a 120w output(and I believe 72w input), so yeah....
