Specific CPU cooler :p

Go to solution Solved by TheCaptain53,

Hey guys. I am looking to get a new CPU cooler. My H100i pump is just too loud. I will probably slap it on my Pentium xD. Anyways, I want a decent looking CPU cooler that is very quiet and does cover up the RAM. A neutral color scheme is preferred. I run my CPU at ~4GHz so I am on the fence on getting this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103204. Thanks - Covert.

The best air cooler out there is the Noctua NH-D15. Seriously, it's a beast. I quite like the aesthetics, and I think the poop brown and vomit tan Noctua fans are rather pleasant and full of character, pretty much no one feels the same way.

I hear the bequiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 is a good cooler. Apparently it's a ball ache with high profile RAM, so be careful.

A noctua d15 is probably your best bet, just buy a replacement fan (like the LTT noctua fans) to make it color neutral.

Weird, mine is perfectly quiet...

Different standards.

The d15 is too loud for me personally compared to my x61, but that's due to replaced fans and the ability to run at basically min speed no matter what.
