Computer might be dead HELP

Hi LTT forum 

Just a couple of minutes ago i was playing CS on my PC ,A watercooled prodigy,when it suddenly shut down. I know what you are thinking and NO it's not a water leak, that was the first thing i checked. Now I am kinda screwed because i had a lot of important data on that PC. Now when i try to turn it on all of the fans spin and all of the pumps are running but the screen just shows pink stripes. Also one thing to note is that my peripherals are not lighting up. Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this or how to fix it??

Pink stripes to me sounds like a GPU issue, maybe try booting off of iGPU?

yup GPU. try the intel HD one

I dont think that its only a gpu issue cause since my peripherals arnt lighting up, the motherboard might be fried

If it's outputting anything to the display, then the possibility of it being the motherboard is very slim.

 

If the motherboard wasn't working there wouldn't be anything on the display, let alone pink bars.

 

As for your peripherals, worry about that later. Just try and use a different GPU if you can for the time being.

What is your powersupply? do you have a second gpu two check the validity of the problem? Does your motherboard support onboard gpu. Maybe you can connect it that way. Peripherals might not be lighting up do to bios no going through.

I ll try putting in my gtx 650 to see if it works that way and i ll get back to you

OK so i just rebooted my computer and suddenly it boots into safe mode with pink stripes but it doesnt boot into normal win 7
