Ukulele?

I could put this question to head-fi or somewhere else but this forum seems the best.

I want to start playing ukulele. Is it easy to learn? Is it easy to play? I have played ukulele and guitar at school and I felt that the ukulele could be my instrument. I felt that guitar was too big for me. So, what do you think? I would like to hear some experiences from you who have played ukulele. Where did you start etc...

I've messed with it, its pretty easy. It tends to stay with just chords and strumming more than guitar does. Nylon strings usually drive me crazy though. They squeak and feel weird.

Its an amazing instrument, but like any other, its not easy to master. As phoenix said, not really something to solo on alot, but its fun as either a backing instrument, or as a part lead as well. Definitely worth learning, but, it wont be any easier than guitar, that i can assure you.
