UPGRADING AN OLD PC

Damyan

So, the deal is that in my country pc parts are very expensive, and Im thinking of upgrading my old pc. I will put a new PSU and some more DDR2 ram, Im also thinking of adding a 270x but will my AMD Athlon 64 x2 5600+ bottleneck it?

DDR 2 wow that one old system.

I would not bother upgrading and save for a replacement

I know but only for a 270x and a 860k i have to spend a pit over 500 (only for GPU and CPU)

No Throw away that PSU.

Buy your components from inside the EU, bound to be cheaper

At this point almost any computer using ddr2 should be repurposed and replaced

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

Re use ur harddrive and case if possible

Get 860k and 750ti and 4gb ram,another 4 in the future.

If you dont play cpu demanding games... the g3258 is really still a very good option..

Cheaping out on psu abit works.. just make sure it is from the right company...

If you can show me partlist of the shop i can help out

We are far too easily pleased.”

Yep save a bit of money because here in Balkan computer parts are expensive. Your power supply should be good enough.

Athlon X2 for only 27.31$   Best part lists at different price points   Windows 1.01 running natively on an Eee PC

My rig:
