Microsoft Office Programs refusing to open.

Go to solution Solved by ThyFeared,

sounds like it might need a clean install...

So much work haha. I forgot I still have my school laptop I just used that.

I try and open my word document to edit my resume and it just refuses to open. When I go into my Task Manager I do see that Microsoft click to run is running but nothing opens at all. I have no idea as what could be wrong. Should I just reinstall?

I've tried ending the task but that comes to no avail. I'll try re-installing now.

No it was already installed and nothing ever came up in the system tray.

Alright. I have done many of the installs and sometimes it shows that running a lot of memory and usage and it ends up being in the tray installing. This is why i am not a fan of Microsoft

Yeah but most companies use it and if I used open office my resume will most likely look really bad on Word haha.

I reinstalled and it has not changed a thing. Should I just give up on it?

I've already done that and I don't know where to get a retail ISO at since I got this from my University but I don't attend it anymore.

Also @tbroadwater2010 I restarted and nothing happened it just opened Microsoft click-to-run in task manager and did nothing.

Did you try just opening the program or are you opening it by opening the resume?

Yeah man, when i upgraded my system to the specs in my sig, i was lazy too. Wondered why i was getting total crap FPS from my GTX970. Thought maybe the mobo, which had seemed to give me issues before, so i switched it all out. finally i HAD to reinstall windows 8.1 and upgrade to Win10 (i did a clean install on the upgrade) all problems were fixed to my surprise.
