I would highly recommend an i7 6700k or i7 5820k if you're using the rig for gaming.

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

Do you mean a gaming (desktop) computer?

And why would you want a Titan X? That is just pointless. Or do you have infinite money to spend?

What is your budget?

will you use your PC for anything else?

6700k with a z170 mobo(get an asus or msi one).

For ram 16gb ddr4 is good

For cooling you can do a custom loop or just get a kraken x61 or h110 gtx or something similar

The fx cpu's are outdated. Don't use amd unless you're doing a budget rendering build

Specs: i7-4790k with Thermaltake Water 3.0, EVGA GTX 970, MSI Z97 Gaming 3, Kingston HyperX 2x8 DDR3 1600Mhz, SSD Boot Drive/1TB HD, CM Storm Stryker, EVGA Supernova G2 750W

Peripherals: SS Rival, HyperX Cloud, G710+

if titan x is not good then what shud i do..... coz titan x is the most powerful if i m not wrong....

The 980Ti is faster a lot of the time.  The TitanX has a reference cooler on it, the 980Ti is made my many companies with different coolers... some are even water cooled.  For gaming the 980Ti, will outperform the TitanX some of the time... and it is $350 cheaper.

so is titan x useless.... ?

The titan X isnt useless. it just costs to much. let me explain imagine the titan X and 980 ti are cake. the titan x cake is 100 dollars but you get 100 percent of the cake. the 980 ti cake is only 50 dollars but you get 95 percent of the cake. the 5 percent of cake isnt worth the extra 50 dollars

First off, please try to at least write properly. You'll receive more help that way.

As to answer your question, erm, it'll be best if you gave us a budget (so how much you're willing to spend), and someone here may help construct a build for you. That'll be the quickest way to solve your problem but from your question it seems like you want to learn so I guess I'll give you a few info.

1.) CPU means Central Processing Unit. It's the chip. Not the abbreviation for computer.

2.) Titan X may be the most powerful GPU, but it is not what you want for the sole purpose of gaming. It has extra features only media producer would use and therefore useless for gamers. The highest end gaming GPU would be the 980 Ti. It lacks the extra features but is much cheaper. The Titan X and 980 Ti performs the same in games.

3.) CPU cores are not built the same (Their architectures are different). Meaning it's possible for an AMD core and an Intel core to perform differently. As of today, a current Intel core (skylake) is roughtly twice as powerful as an AMD core (piledriver). So an FX 8350 (octacore) would, in best case scenario, perform as well as an i5-6400 (quad core).

4.) Now that you understand point four. You must understand, currently, most games likes 2-4 cores. Meaning it'll use two to four cores before not using any more cores. So, assuming all cores are the same, a 24 core CPU would perform the same as a 4 core CPU if the game only uses up to 4 cores. What this means to you is that for gaming, currently, intel CPU are the better choice as games would run faster than AMD CPU.

Feel free to ask anymore questions!

Yes titan x is useless, as soon as the 980ti came out the titan x lost all respect, and on top of that titan x only comes with reference design while the 980ti comes in multiple custom pcbs for better power, cooler, more quiet... go on youtube and look up 980ti vs titan x.

Here's my take:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($312.95 @ SuperBiiz)
(About the best CPU you can get for gaming)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler  ($91.98 @ OutletPC)
(Honestly I don't like AIO water cooler. There's a chance they can fail and be quite catastrophic. But a lump of metal would never fail)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($96.99 @ SuperBiiz)
(Can SLI. Can overclock.)
(One of the cheapest price to gigabyte ratio while looking cool and hey, 1866, why not)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($96.49 @ OutletPC)
(For boot and storing games and current stuff)
(For archiving stuff)
(EVGA is a reputable brand for Nvidia and their ACX 2 has nice reviews. Should be good)
(Personal preference, use your own case if you want)
Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($85.50 @ SuperBiiz)
(Has enough juice to SLI 980 ti. 80+ bronze. Semi modular. Not extremely expensive. Good enough)
Total: $1561.28
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
