hi i've build my new rig and tried to power it on but dont get any POST...only the black screen ( while the display was turned on ;) )

i tried hdmi onboard and the hdmi / dvi from my gpu .. nothing

motherboard led show "green" lights and ram etc seems to be working

i touched the psu like every 20 seconds and my heater with my feet while working on cardboard ground to prevent static

no post means that i got a DOA CPU? or could it be the board?

I am personally not seeing any reason on why you aren't getting POST. Could be a DOA CPU like you said. If the card is working and the lights on the ram are showing, then i wouldn't think it would be the board.

Current Build: Core i7 4790k @ 4.6, Asus Maximus VII Hero, Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400mhz 8gb (2x4gb), GTX 980ti, NZXT Kraken X61, Fractal Define R5  EVGA Supernova B2 850w, Some 300gb hard drive.

i wouldn't think that the card or the ram would even run unless the cpu was working?

its not the first pc i build so i know how to plugg everything in.... i double checked and it was fine... already had some of the cables "hidden/managed"

so now i took everything out...  worked

2 ram "red" sticks plugged          -> worked

4 (2 blue/orange led 2 red/green led) ram sticks plugged  -> failed      -> tried to swap

2 ram "blue" sticks plugged -> failed          --> 2 ram "blue" sticks "dead"

gpu still not plugged in

BIOS looks fancy... cpu running at 30°C so its not DOA ... or it wouldnt be "warm"

RAM running at 1333mhz with Voltage 1.517 ( standard setting )  didnt change anything....            but my ram should be 1866mhz

getting post message   cpu fan error now                                -> h100i gtx plug is corectly plugged into cpu fan  ( pins are all ok )        WHY? the error
