So in celebration of my new computer that I will be building my friend decided he would buy me some steam games off G2A. He asked for some pointers and things to look out for while buying from G2A. Anyone have any tips and tricks. Also any discount codes >3%?

Do you play football/soccer?

Get shield, careful what you buy. My friend bought Norton (yeah Norton...) and it did not work. I have never had a problem with it though.

Am I missing something?

Edit: I was thinking about G2.Kinguin :P

Most G2A sellers are scammers, Kinguin is quicker, less shady, cheaper and awesomer.

What's wrong with Norton?

It's great IMO. I've used it for a long time and whilst it did used to be a resource hog it's much improved now and offers great protection. Very highly rated.

always go for sellers with 99% or higher rating. Also use g2a shield, if you get scammed you can get ur money back. Just google for g2a discount codes.

I personally have not been scammed. I have successfully bought civilization 5 complete and gta v

hello!

is it me you're looking for?

Fully maxed out early 2017 Dell XPS 15, GTX 1050 4GB, 7700HQ, 1TB nvme SSD, 32GB RAM, 4k display. 97Whr battery :x
Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

-Crapbook

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

G2A is what i always check before i buy anything off steam. My current os (win 8.1 pro) was bought off G2A and i have no complaints. Don't be fooled by people saying how "Sketchy" it is. It really isn't.

Well... I am not against it nor with it. Personally I like it, and on my PC with lots of memory and a fairly decent CPU it is great. No problems it does the job and hides away and I have been using it for the past 3 years. However, on a Notebook it is a different story (My Moms notebook). If it has 4GB of RAM and a Notebook CPU it is just.... terrible, lags slows up your PC and so on.

So for high end desktops I really like it. For low end notebooks, I would rather go with something more "low profile".

Also I meant when I said "Yeah Norton..." I ment it was bad he bought it off G2A. Not that Norton is bad.

Same as what everyone else said, make sure to use G2A Shield, always buy from sellers with a good reputation (99%+, check their recent transactions to!).  I've never had any issues at all with G2A so not sure what all this "Oh they're all scammers hurr durr" stuff is about.

Same with Kinguin, used them before but I found they're usually slightly more expensive most of the time.    Another place worth checking is a site called "allkeyshop" as they compare all the main sellers (G2A, Kinguin etc) as well as the current discount codes.

I also found that, as long as you *don't* login when making a purchase, you can keep using the same discount code over and over again.
