Test Bench vs Case

I would like to know what is better for my needs a test bench or a case. Price point is about $200. Now, I do take apart my system to mount new coolers and take out my CPU about every week. I like that cases in general have more mounting options. But the fact that a test bench can have hardware taken apart quicker also seems satisfying. This will be on a main rig.

It would be much easier to have a open air test bench in your case.

 

Could you find one that could mount many rads? I would like to not have to go external loop.

The biggest thing to remember is that a test bench is an open system. While that allows for better heat dissipation, the drawback is that it's open, which means more dust, hair, and other things getting into your system. A case, on the other hand, is closed but the result is that it's harder for contaminants to get into the computer, especially with good dust filters. In most situations I'd suggest a case, and really only a test bench if you're regularly taking components out and putting others in.

A test bench might be more comfortable in your case, but remember that testbenches have hardware out at the open, and it might be easy for components to get damaged, accumulate dust, get something spilled over, etc
