Yes, but it will run like complete shit because it is complete shit. I think if you have no codecs it won't play.

 

 

 

 

Just download CCCP or VLC.

Hi,

 

I was wondering if the built in windows media player on windows 7 can play 4k videos. I've tried playing using the built in windows media player on windows 7 did not display the video but then it plays the audio. The windows media player on windows 10 was able to play 4k videos.

Why would you still be using that media player anyway? theres so many free alternatives which are much better.

tried it on VLC it does works but then the PC is running the 1st gen intel i5 760 processor(the pc is pre built- Dell inspiron 580 desktop computer) and if there's a lot of program installed it sometimes lags using web browser like chrome, Internet explorer and firefox. so its better of playing video with the built into windows
