Windows Test Drive

Go to solution Solved by dukethedj,

He takes an SSD with a copy of Windows with no drivers installed on it. He then installs the drivers he needs for the video and then removes them.

OK. So I've been watching many of Linus's build log videos, and I keep hearing the term "Windows test drive" being thrown around.  To my understanding, this is an installation of windows that runs on just about any computer.  I test a lot of different computers, but I usually have to use a Linux live USB to verify that everything is working properly.  This interests me, because I can do a whole lot more with bench marking and that kind of stuff.  So does anyone know how he did it?

How would you go about doing that? I've never seen any options like that (not installing drivers during installation). Am I missing something or what?

Usually the drivers that your hardware needs is installed after the windows install.

You are on a need to know basis, and you don't need to know.
