Hey guys, I'm helping a friend plan a build that he hopes to build in a couple weeks. He will mostly play FPS games, and I've suggested this after a bit of questioning. He really cares about his colours, which explains the Motherboard choice and the extra LED strips. He already has a Hard drive, and his budget is $1300. Any suggestions?

Some questions:

Is the power supply reliable?

If he buys the windows 8.1 key, it costs $25 less- is the effort of upgrading wirth it?

Thanks.

If ditching the SSD allows him to get a 380, I'd do that. otherwise looks pretty good.

GPU>SSD bro, get 1TB Barracuda and get 380 or 960

Any particular reason for no hyper threading?

4460 will run every game tho ( why you asking for HyperThreading ? )

Yeah ok . . . Idk if he's willing to do that though. He could upgrade in the future, mostly playing bf4 and CS:GO at 1080p

4460 is enough if you just playing BF4 (SP&MP) and CSGO ( cause i have it )

some i5's have hyperthreading and some games can benefit from hyperthreading

That's OCing. Only i3s, i7s, and Xeons have hyperthreading.
