Hi, I'm new to pc building and would like to get some feedback regarding a build I've been planning.

I'll be upgrading from an Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 on a ASUS motherboard (the name of which I do

not know) with no discrete graphics, 1GB RAM and 320GB of HDD (Yes, I am currently using this right

now). I'll also be using this for gaming and rendering.

So here is the build:

Case : Bitfenix Pandora Silver Window model

CPU : Intel corei7 5820k

Cooler : Intel Thermal Solution

Motherboard : Asus X99M-WS

RAM : Crucial Ballistix tactical DDR4-2666 16GB kit

SSD : Intel 750 PCIe 400GB (Main drive)

         Samsung 840 Evo 250GB (Display purposes)

GPU :  ASUS Nvdia GeForce GTX 960 Strix 2GB

PSU : Silverstone Strider Gold S Series 850W

At the moment, I already have all of the components other than the CPU. And due to the news saying

that the Broadwell-E platform would be arriving at around Q1 2016.

Since I'm not in a hurry to upgrade, I was wondering if I should wait for the Broadwell-E and get the

equivalent of the 5930k, because I would have the cash by then.

Would appreciate any feedback or advice regarding this build.

Nice CPU + GPU combo. What's your budget @Bhunivelze? Oh, and, welcome to the forums :D

I'd be careful. I did what I thought was obvious sarcasm to that in a similar vein a while back and some idiot reported me .-. I got 2 warning points

@TheRandomness

Thanks! And nice to meet everyone too!

Initially my budget is 220k JPY (about 1600~1700 USD) but I could save up more if I were to wait for Broadwell-E.

@8-Bit Ninja

I already bought the motherboard so I can't change my processor right now :(

Also, I was planning on buying either of AMD's or Nvidia's next generation line-up of GPUs next year, hence the low-end GPU.

@Bob Jim

I don't mind sarcasm so long as it is a logical one, in this case, it is. :)
