When is the next GPU Gen?

iDeJayDzn

So im curious. I've been looking for a new GPU for awhile although im going to send my 970 back if the issue im having is a RAM issue.

However, i wanted to get a 980Ti to play everything in 4K 144fps.

Then again i looked at the last cycle and when that came out and wondered if anybody knows anything about NVidias next line of cards.

Before anyone says anything about AMD... no.

You can't play games at 4K and achieve 144FPS unless you're playing an old game and using DSR. Even so, no connector can support it.

yeah sometime early/late 2016 NVidia MIGHT Release a dual chip GPU...

it might run on the same chip as the Titan X and 980Ti

Just never liked AMD. Prefer NVidia

I'm still curious at to what theyre gunna brand it because i doubt they will go for the 1000 series. Samsung already confused electronics again with their new M.2 SSD.

Still debating on if i should wait or not. Im guessing i should as i doubt i will be able to afford a 980Ti until Jan next year anyways.

There's no such thing as a dual chip GPU. The proper terminology is dual GPU card.

4k is still almost a dream for many people. 144hz @ 4k is even more of a dream.

Don't expect any of that until maybe the end of 2016 or early-mid 2017 I would guess.
