I know this case got the ''Stuff that doesn't suck' Award. But I feel like the gap by the PCIe is a place where dust might get in very easily. Also I like putting my external hard drives on the top of my case but after seeing Linus'  review I'm afraid that I will scratch my case. Which is a perfect segue to my next problem the case is easily scratchable. So should I still go for the S340 or is there a better alternative for around the same price?

S340 is a pretty spot on case, it really doesn't scratch very easy - unless you're going to scrape metal against it.  Just be careful sliding drives about on top of it.

People often tend to think that the S340 is some miracle case from the gods that has amazing specs, and contends with $200 cases, and it simply doesn't.

Expect a $80 case when buying one because that's what it is.

For the price bracket, it looks the best and that is simply demonstrable. Does it perform the best? Debatable. A lot of the Silencio stuff will kick the snot out of it as far as thermals and sound are concerned, but anyone buying NZXT. cares more for the looks. As far as I know, the panel is the same acrylic put on the H440, and barbecue it is acrylic, it scratches more then the feelings of an SJW. Just be careful with it, and it will be ok.

Get the case, it's great.

I will never stop recommending the Phanteks Enthoo Pro.

What?! :P

Anyway, it shouldn't scratch too easily because of the full metal construction, worst case scenario put the drive on a book on the case or something. Also, so long as you intake air through filtered fan grills you should be fine, and just clean it periodically.

However, I do prefer the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M to the S340. Just sayin'

I hate the look of the case but if Australia wins the world cup I will buy it.

I looks so great in person imo and the finish on it is superb. Plus, building in it is such a breeze and the whole thing is filtered to hell and back.

That drive has rubber feet on the bottom doesn't it?  You should be absolutely fine.
