Hey Guys!

I'm a bit new to this forum and also new to computer building.. I wanted to build a computer after I started watching Linus' videos and I was hoping you guys would be able to give me feedback on my build.

I'm going to be doing mostly leisure and work on this with a little bit of gaming on the side. But not too much like Far Cry 4, GTA 5 and Witcher 3.

Build:                                                                                                                                      Price

EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti                                                                                                      109

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3                                                                           48

128 GB Samsung EVO SSD                                                                                                  65.76

Western Digital WD1002FAEX Caviar Black 1 TB                                                                 85.31

ASUS Z97-K + Intel Core i5-4690K Bundle                                                                          378.46

Corsair Carbide Series 100R Mid Tower Case CC-9011075-WW                                         52.98

The Total comes upto $739.51 but is there any way to decrease that?

All help appreciated!

Could you put it in PCPARTPICKER since that solves this little "viewing" issue

You would think Ubisoft would support the Bulldozer based architectures more given their digging themed names like bulldozer, Piledriver, Steamroller and Excavator.

what kind of work you are applying on this computer? editing? or just words excel and stuff like that? are you overclocking?

If it is really not loaded task you can try go with a i5 4460 + a h81 motherboard rather than getting k version and a motherboard to overclock it.

CPU:  i7 4770k @ overclocked to 4.4ghz             GPU: Intel HD4600                                                                SSD: Kingston V300 120GB (OS)                   Cooler:  Corsair H100i GTX
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolve (Black)                RAM: 2x4gb Corsair Dominator Platinium 2133mhz  HDD: 1TB Seagate                                            Mouse: Logitech G502
OS:     Windows 10                                                      PSU: Corsair RM850i 80+ Gold                                          Motherboard:  AsusZ97 Pro Gamer              Keyboard: Vortex Pok3r 3

I'd go for something like this instead- PC Part Picker

Overclocking won't give won't give you much of a performance boost in typical day to day work so I switched it for a lower power, lower heat output i5 that is plenty enough for gaming. I also got you a bigger SSD, and a much better graphics card so if you plan on picking up a more intensive game you'll have a better chance of running at higher specs.

I hope you consider and enjoy my build :)
