Jump ship to Intel. Get a dual channel RAM kit. Is that a NEX series PSU? Switch it out for a cheap SeaSonic or XFX PSU. That case is too cheapo looking for me, but I guess you like it, so whatever...

EDIT: That's a prebuilt from CyberPoser PCs. *poser intended*

Intel Core i7-6700K | Corsair H105 | Asus Z170I PRO GAMING | G.Skill TridentZ Series 16GB | 950 PRO 512GB M.2

Asus GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB STRIX OC | BitFenix Prodigy (Black/Red) | XFX PRO Black Edition 850W

i actually built it myself, and I hate the case now that I've been living with it. I definitely need a dual channel kit though. and from what ive been told about the psu, it needs replaced because of pretty terrible reliability, although i havent had issues with it.

im not sure where to go with the case. i was looking at CM and fractal cases, but I havent seen anything i had to have yet

Maybe go mATX on your upgrade; BitFenix, Corsair, InWin, Fractal Design, and SilverStone all make great cases.

I could do that, and upgrade to an intel platform and reuse my gpu, psu, and storage. but don't smaller mobo's have issues with temps? or is that just ITX?

and what about my GPU? Im debating on upgrading to a 390X.

It depends on the board quality. My ITX system (when it was on the Z97 chipset) performed at great temperatures. But that is probably due to the extreme amount of VRMs and power phases on the daughter board.

Sell your cpu and motherboard, buy an Intel cpu and intel chipset motherboard.

Buy another Hyperx fury ddr3 8gb stick, that way you can use dual channel.

Not entirely sure on the power supply.

Hi all,

i5 and an SSD and you should be set

And don't worry about dual channel memory it doesn't matter for much of anything in daily use

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
