Either go from a 390X to a 390 or drop the SSD if you money for a new Windows license.  You can also step down to 8 GB of RAM if you want.  If you do an all NCIX build it would cost a bit more and you might need to drop a couple of features.   You could also go Skylake platform instead of X99 in this price range and upp down an i7-6700K.

Seriously they should ship you come lube with the fuck job your builder is giving you.  1,500 and you only get a 4th gen i7, a 970, and no SSD.

I assume were talking about US dollars. How far 1500 hundred goes depends on whether you include the monitor(the most expensive single part in my build). If you don't include the monitor than you can damn near max out on everything and still get in under 1500 IF you take your time assembling parts and go for deals(and maybe even if you don't).

The system you see in my tag came in around 1300, had all new parts, and the core of it is a 4790k, a relatively expensive high quality MOBO, and a GTX 980. Going for a 980 TI would have put me just over 1500. The ROG swift added nearly 600 more to that. I took my time and used PC part picker. For each component id narrow it down to a few, then wait for a really good deal on one of those.

The monitor is often overlooked. To me the monitor and GPU go hand in hand. There is no point in getting a 980 ti or Fury X if you don't have the monitor to take advantage of it. I went with a little cheaper GPU so I could buy a little better monitor. This is where AMD excels, because a 390/x and freesync monitor is an awesome price performance combination. I went with Nvidia and Gsync just because I got an awesome Ebay deal on a 980 I couldn't pass up and knew the ROG swift price would drop soon, otherwise I would have went AMD and freesync.

EDIT: I just noticed you had a prebuilt system in mind. All bets are off if you go with that, as they will price gouge you to the max. I was assuming you were building your own. Assembling parts and building your own system is fun, and about the only mechanical ability required is remembering lefty loosy righty tighty, and having access to youtube.

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x,  MOBO: ASUS TUF X570 Gaming Pro wifi, CPU cooler: Noctua U12a RAM: Gskill Ripjaws V @3600mhz,  GPU: Asus Tuf RTX OC 3080 PSU: Seasonic Focus GX850 CASE: Lian Li Lancool 2 Mesh Storage: 500 GB Inland Premium M.2,  Sandisk Ultra Plus II 256 GB & 120 GB

With $1500 budget, you can fit a 980Ti on there. It's gonna be tight but doable.

You really should build it yourself. Anyway you haven't mentioned what resolution you want to play at eg 1080p, 1440p, 4k and what graphics settings eg low, medium, high??
