Alternative Parts

So, I know that intel, AMD, NVIDIA, etc. Have good parts that I can use to make good build for almost any scenario, but are there any other lesser known computer part makers? Even if they aren't worth buying, I'm just curious if there are alternate parts.

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

You have two options for CPU, It's Intel or AMD.

 

GPU - Nvidia or AMD.

 

That's all.

 

For all other, there are tons of different options.

Intel Core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz - Intel Stock Cooler - Zotac Geforce GT 610 2GB Synergy Edition

Intel DH61WW - Corsair® Value Select 4GBx1 DDR3 1600 MHz - Antec BP-300P PSU

WD Green 1TB - Seagate 2.5" HDD 1TB - Seagate Barracuda 500GB - Antec X1 E.

For CPU, there are only 2 real options. BUT. That's only for PC with x86 architecture. There's always ARM, which is what will be in your phone. These arent made by Intel or AMD, but only intel and AMD have the licence for x86. I think there's a tech quickie on it, but I cant find it.

Alright, so it looks like the aren't any good alternate parts, so I'm changing the question to this: What is your favorite computer part brand that nobody talks about?
