I've been planning on replacing my 270 with a 950, but I don't know which one is the better one overall. If you guys could help me I would appreciate it.

Your (R9?) 270 is just as good. Unless you meant a GT(X) 270....

If you're talking R9 270: they are about equal.

Nothing much more to say. One may be better than the other in some games, but generally equal

Really? Always hear people saying the 950 is better. Good to know before I wasted my money. What about the 960 same thing?

960 is better, but it isn't good value card. Upgrading from 270 to 960 doesn't make much sense either. 

What are you planning to do with 270? How much more performance do you need?

A lot of the new games coming out Far Cry, Fallout, Battlefront if I can get over the differences it makes from the last 2. Also what comes out in the next coming years.

Problem is that 960 won't be much of an upgrade. I personally would save some cash until I could afford GTX 970 or R9 390(390 preferably).

Funnily enough - the 270X and 960 perform the same in battlefront - it favors AMD much more than Nvidia.

As for upgrade - A R9 390 would be a good investment.
