VGA vs HDMI

so I currently have a monitor with VGA

It's not hard for me to switch to HDMI

but is it worth it? will there be a big difference in quality?

Quality - probably not. Unless your VGA cable is damaged.

You might get a higher refresh rate or something, but if your monitor supports VGA and HDMI it will likely look the same no matter what you use.

Interesting. Anyway, using HDMI will probably provide a better picture but I wouldn't hold my breath.

From a technical standpoint, yes HDMI is a straight up upgrade as its basically DVI but with audio bundled in there somewhere.

Digital does not have superior quality to analog.

 

The problem with VGA is connections and cables can matter.
