750ti solid choice?

Remmi2002
Go to solution Solved by don_svetlio,

Think it's 30 bucks more  for the 4 msi card.

Get the 2GB - not worth the 30$ in this case. Unless you're going to be doing some heavy AA or Ultra Textures you're fine with 2GB

That's on the PSU?

yes

Why? :P

+12V rail is rated at 430W - that's the rail modern PCs use - my guess is the PSU is quite old.

It is. So is it better to run a gtx 750 ti without external power or run a 270x with external power?

EDIT: Meant 370:P

370 only needs a single 6-pin connector. I'd imagine it would be fine but feel free to ask @STRMfrmXMN and @Aniallation to be sure.

I'll try to make a Pcpartpicker list with a 430w psu, and a 370.

I think you should be fine - most aftermarket 750 Ti GPUs need a 6-pin anyway, a 370 isn't really going to draw more than 120W.

I'd say 2GB - the 370/265/7850 was originally offered in 1GB and 2GB configs - 4GB is better for higher end GPUs like the 380. If the price difference is not massive, though, you could get 4GB

Lol, running a GPU without a power connector that needs one? My 7770Ghz has a 4-pin and won't even boot without it plugged in. 750ti is a solid choice if you can't plug in external power.

The PSU has an 8-pin and 6-pin :P - I just meant it would be fine to handle a 370.
