Cortana FIX PLEASE

A while back I downloaded SPY BOT ANTI-BEACON and it messed with Cortana which is not what I wanted.

I uninstalled it at the time. But reinstalled it and pressed undo  but it has not changed.

 

Basically I can't use COrtana when i want to.

 

Please help me fix this!

IS it missing the little mic icon on right of the search box now ? Everytime location is off I can't USE Cortana and the Mic icon is missing. If not what is the situation AluminumTech ?

It says it's disabled by company policy although I know that the ANIT-BEACON disabled it.

I literally have enabled everything for it. Trust me I know what's required of Cortana. I have it on my phone and it runs like a charm.

It sounds like you have the home version of 10, maybe that doesn't include Group Policy Editor. I will look.

Ok. Well this sucks if i have to re-install windows on my laptop.

 

EDIT: OH MY GOD! I WILL HAVE TO REINSTALL BECAUSE F ing  MICROSOFT.

 

WHY IS THIS NOT ON THE "HOME" edition? Seriously!

AH. THERE MAY BE a work around after all. I'm trying a work around by manually editing the registry.

I know what Cortana needs! What I'm having a problem is that apost you referenced says go to HKLM when i don't have HKLM in my registry, I have HKEY.

I can't add the appropriate Registry Key and value required for Cortana. It won't allow me to. So what do i do?

That's not the same place as the article that talks about group policy editor, not quite the same as going in regedit. I don't know about going into the registry and changing things.

Yes but it does reference going to HKLM if you are on Home.

 

I figured out what HKLM was but my problem is that once  i got to the specified location i couldn't add the missing Key and value.
