Stream VR Client

So, I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but I was looking at my downloads on steam just now and I noticed something peculiar:

 

 

As you can see, it's Steam VR. I opened it and it game me a very basic interface. It tells me the headset is not found and includes 5 clickable GUI buttons on the bottom labeled: HMD(Head mounted display I suppose), Controller 1, Controller 2, Base Station 1, Base Station 2; respectively.

 

I suppose they are really pushing forward with the steam VR. Ive seen a VR button bug out at the top by the big picture button before, but I've never seen it actually launch. Unfortunately, I don't have a headset, or I might be able to do more with it.

Yeah, Steam VR will be pushed pretty hard when the HTC Vive actually launches.

Ya if I remember before I've seen this on Linux Steam beta build couple months back. Although I have no VR hardware to test it. Not sure if it's still there.

I guess what we are going to get is for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift users a 3 dimensional steam application GUI to move through the library, menus, Store etc...

It's big picture mode for your vr headset.
Haven't used it in a few months, was really clunky then can't speak to how it is now
