Asus GTX 770

I've been seeing the GTX 780 & GTX 760 with the beast cooler, and then I saw the old cooler on the GTX 770. Why would Asus not put the newer cooler on the mid-range(GTX 770) card instead put it on the lower end GTX 760?

The 760 although looks like a new cooler i using the old heatpipe design. So it only looks new. And the shroud is plastic. The GTX 780 hav thicker heatpipes and a metal shroud. The reason GTX 770 is based on a older design is because it was released before the GTX 760 and GTX 780. It dosen't make the huge difference. I own a DCU II GTX 770. And it's epic. 

It looks really amazing. That's mostly the really reason.

Sorry, it's late. The newer style cooler like on the GTX 780 on the GTX 770.

Why wouldn't they have the newer style shroud?

It's classic and beloved. Kind of like Msi's Twin Frozr except red/black has become increasingly popular.
