Changing Default Windows Icons?

Hey everyone,

 

Here is a random one for you.

 

I really like the icons for Mac OSX El Capitan, and someone has created Windows versions (.ico files)

In the registry, I have changed it so that when a new folder is created, it will use the new icon. That part is fine.

 

The issue I am having is, I tried it for "open folder" icons as well, but to no avail. I can go through and do it manually, but that would take so long.

Is there an easy way to get around this?  

 

Completely wired and random, but I like messing around with user tweaks, if I'm using my computer all the time, I want it to look the way I want it to.

 

(P.S. I'm running Windows 10 Pro, if that makes any difference)

Just going on a limb here, but can't you just delete the windows ico in the system files and put the mac one there? (same name etc.)

Tried, but the default icons are located in a .dll file, which sucks.
