Hey everyone, im just wondering if i could get a few people's opinions on this build I've came up with. All help is welcome!

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/RJQz3C

What's it for?

If it's not for video editing/rendering, please don't go with FX-series chips.

Also I believe you can get a better AMD card for a similar price to the 780.

Sig under construction.

Whats wrong with the FX cpu's?

High TDP and temps. It's cores are weaker individually and aren't that great for gaming.

Don't be fooled by the bottom line of my sig, that is just for my travels.

So you're telling me that Gaben is no God? Enough of your foolishness.

My hardware you ask? I'm using a Dell Inspiron 3217 Notebook... With an LG 25UM57.

The single core performance is pretty terrible on them... Also, the 8300 series aren't true Octacore CPUs. (Don't argue with me on this)

There isn't really an upgrade path on them.

For gaming, there are only a few games that can actually take advantage of more cores vs. better single cores.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Temperatures no they stay cooler than Intel but output more heat because of die size

Total heat output, AMD loses. Plus you have to overclock them to match an equivalent intel CPU.
