Also, I didn't see an SSD in there. Please don't tell me you are planning to boot off of that 1TB spinner.

I boot off a 2tb spinner.

That runs at 5400rpm.

And is meant for a laptop.

But is in my desktop.

Yet you're debating the possibility of spending an extra $37 on a H97 mobo over a z97 mobo.

 

If budget is an issue, you could also get a 256GB SSD instead of the platter drive, install your OS to that and later on add the 1TB HDD and just move your files over. You'll benefit from the speed of the SSD right off the bat and when you have money to upgrade, you won't have the hassle of re-installing windows and all your software.
