This will be my first build and I'm looking for a pc that I can use to do some editing of 20min videos and some gaming with Rocket League, Ark, etc. I'm really trying to keep it in the $1000 range and I would like it to be only black and white. The only exception is the gpu; However, it has a black and white back plate. Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure the r9 280x is better then the r9 380 if you want to go for that instead

EDIT: wait maybe not depending on prices for you

You really don't need a cooler for a locked CPU, and the same goes for a Z series board. If you want to in the future, just slap an aftermarket cooler on it :P

The Nitro 380 is the closest I could find to black, so dark grey would do.. How do you fancy Black/White with a small gold accent on the mobo @PauseTheCat?

Get a cheap Air Cooler,

A BeQuiet! Pure Rock is probably the best you can get for $30-$35. Not like you can overclock the 1231v3.

Thats about it...

dont you think 16gb of ram will suit editing better?

why z97 mobo? your cpu will not overclock, and you are not buying a nvidia card, so no need for sli (premium) as for the cf, most mobo feature it...

The color is amazing. It's a stupid reason but I want to make sure the build looks good.

I might just stick with the MSI Krait because there isn't a huge price difference. Thanks.
