Here's an odd one.

Thought I'd post this.

 

When I built my PC, I bought a shitty case by reccomendation from a friend.  The Cooler Master Elite 350 Elite ATX Mid-Tower. (The one Austin used in his most recent build with Linus.)

 

It has no side panel but theres a fan port and air flow 'opening' I geuss you'd call it in the side.  So I went out and bought two LED strips to light up the inside.  Works like a charm! 

 

So just a heads up.  You don't necessarially need a side panel for LED's.  There's enough open holes in the side, that my PC still shows the colours. (And through the I.O shield, and fan in the back!

I do believe you mean side panel windows... from the sounds of it, that's what you mean.
