Raiding different SSD's

TheDeadGhost

Hi

I'm kinda thinking the answer to this is no, but I don't know much about the technical side of ssd's so thought I'd ask.

I have a 500gb 840 EVO, can I get an 850 EVO and raid them together? Or do they have some difference that would make this a bad idea?

Thanks!

@TheDeadGhost I am no expert in this field but you should be able to raid any ssd's together as long as they have the same memory controller, and you could possibly raid ones that don't have the same controller but they can be finiky or cause problems. Someone correct me if im wrong.

Should work and I would be happy to do it.

It is not rocket science to suggest that matching SSD's would be better but hey ho... Go for it

Raid with SSD is fine, as long as the SPECs are the same then you're fine. :P
