So i am trying to control my fans with SpeedFan. I have one 4-Pin case fan and two 3-Pin case fans connected to my motherboard (Asus M5Aa97 R2.0). I can only control the 4-pin fan for some reason. And when i change the speed of the 4 pin fan, the speed of all of my fans change aswell. I can't seem to find a way to control each fan individually. I want to be able to turn them all off at idle, and then for them all to have their own unique temperature curve, but i cant seem to be able to do this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

use your motherboard's manufacturer's software

much better

I have tried that, my motherboard comes with Ai Suite II which includes Fan Xpert. I tried using fan Xpert but there is no option to fully turn off your fans when you dont need them on. I think you need fan Xpert II which is not supported by my motherboard i think.

Easier, yes. Better, no.

@ImDankest You may need to change control mode for that 3pin to DC. And you may also need to tell Speedfan where to find fan control chips. Here's really crude guide on how to check those http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/404465-confused-about-changing-fan-speeds-50/?p=5453137
